The loss of a great friend…

It is with great sadness that I was told today that we lost our beloved member of the Studio Judy Gillam. For those of you who knew her she was a staple of my yoga classes since we opened the studio in 2007... she hardly ever missed a clas class and she always placed her mat in the same spot in every class.. "Judy's corner" everyone new that was her spot... Judy battled cancer 5 years ago and came through it like a champ but unfortunately her cancer returned last fall and after another battle this time she did not survive and passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 28th, 2023.

Judy will be so missed I loved listening to her stories about her two grandchildren whom she adored always making them beautiful cards and sending care packages to them. She was so warm and kind and always had a kind word or good advice to offer. The studio will not be the same without her and Judy's Corner will always be hers... forever in our hearts Judy we will always love and remember you and keep an eye on your beloved husband Dean... RIP Judy..

Thank you for sharing. So sorry to hear of the passing of our friend, Judy. I remember when I first started coming to yoga 5+ years ago and setting up my mat in the space to the right of Judy. Such a kind and strong lady…😢
